Steroid shot for croup cough

I’m an adult (47) and just got diagnosed with pertussis and am taking antibiotics. I just wanted to add that the antibiotics really helped! I still sound the same, but my throat feels much much better; I had the “tickle” in the throat that is listed as a symptom (which I think contributes to the gagging and throwing up people get!), in my case I thought maybe I had a feather lodged in my throat, so “tickle” it was not! That symptom which had been there a week, was gone almost 100% within maybe 20 hours of being on the antibiotic. I’m not all clear of the cough, so obviously I’m hoping my healing trajectory will continue. I just wanted to say I felt the antibiotics were extremely helpful and I’m so glad I didn’t wait any longer. Also, of course I do not want to be contagious to anyone else. There are sometimes when I’m so grateful for western medicine, this was one time. I’m also using peppermint, eucalyptus, and tea tree oil, which really helps a lot. For a kid it might sting so a lot of carrier oil would be great. Also I’ve been drinking throat comfort herbal tea, which really helps keep the cough calm. Thanks for the article!

Bordetella in the nose killed my cat in 1 wk. Her kidneys gave out. Just the other day I took my 7 month old puppy to get Bordetella shot because I needed to board her. She was so sick and would not let me touch her that night. It took 4 days and I ended up canceling my trip to care for her. She is better but the place they injected her has a hard mass. I will never get this shot or put in the nose again for any pet. I should have learned 10 years ago when my cat died of kidney failure just after getting Bordetella in her nose. Please dont get this shot. Forge documents if you need to board your pet before doing this one. My puppy is not out of the woods. The hard mass from the shot may very well turn into cancer. I’m just sick.

The caudal approach to the epidural space involves the use of a Tuohy needle, an intravenous catheter, or a hypodermic needle to puncture the sacrococcygeal membrane . Injecting local anaesthetic at this level can result in analgesia and/or anaesthesia of the perineum and groin areas. The caudal epidural technique is often used in infants and children undergoing surgery involving the groin, pelvis or lower extremities. In this population, caudal epidural analgesia is usually combined with general anaesthesia since most children do not tolerate surgery when regional anaesthesia is employed as the sole modality.

A few questions,  have you had a spirometry test to know if your FEV1 has been affected?  And were you officially diagnosed with COPD?  Is there a test to determine levels of mold in your body or is it something you have to figure out with trial and error in regards to eating?  This is certainly something I will look into further.  Thank you so much for the information.  For now, I am off on holiday to warm sun down under and will try my hardest not think too much about this.  Easier said than done as I am really worried about it all.  A different environment may just make a difference in things.

The most commonly used AAS in medicine are testosterone and its various esters (but most commonly testosterone undecanoate , testosterone enanthate , testosterone cypionate , and testosterone propionate ), [53] nandrolone esters (most commonly nandrolone decanoate and nandrolone phenylpropionate ), stanozolol , and metandienone (methandrostenolone). [1] Others also available and used commonly but to a lesser extent include methyltestosterone , oxandrolone , mesterolone , and oxymetholone , as well as drostanolone propionate , metenolone (methylandrostenolone), and fluoxymesterone . [1] Dihydrotestosterone (DHT; androstanolone, stanolone) and its esters are also notable, although they are not widely used in medicine. [54] Boldenone undecylenate and trenbolone acetate are used in veterinary medicine . [1]
