Pupps steroid cream

just quickly posting so apologies for not reading other posts. i had this for the final 5 weeks of my pg. i wasnt induced and went 4 days over. i spent night upon night in tears of frustration at the itching which for me, was from the neck downwards but worse on my hands feet and bottom of my bump. it did clear as soon as i had the baby. i tired creams, antihistamines helped me get a bit of sleep but acupunture worked to take the heat out of the itching, i would recommend it if you can. i also rememebr sitting in my back garden in a paddling pool of cool water and bicarb of soda!!

i really feel for you, it is so distressing.
i hope it all works out well for you.

PUPPP usually appears during the 3 rd trimester of pregnancy. The baby grows very fast during this time, particularly during the last 5 weeks of pregnancy. For many women, itching is the worst part of suffering from a PUPPP rash. Distinctive red marks appear on the abdomen, but there are other details that you should consider before confirming that you’re suffering from PUPPP. These include small blisters, extremely itchy rash, eczema-like lesions and redness that appear on the abdomen first. These signs don’t appear on the belly button.

A rash can cause a great deal of anxiety, so remember that it's important to get some exercise, work on breathing and do things to stay calm. In fact, itching seems to get worse when there is inner agitation. While you are working to resolve the underlying causes of the rash, take time for your own mental health too. Remember that you are more than your skin and that you will gain a solution to your problem.

Itching can increase due to stress. Relaxing helps your body to heal, improves sleep and enables one to cope with difficult situations more effectively. • I also have this lovely rash. I have dealt with it by when I wake up in the morning I wash with Grandpa's Pine Tar soap ( http:///product/?productId=3173050 ) got it at GNC in a COOL shower. Hot showers just made me itch even worse. I take a zyrtec and then put the steroid cream on the really itchy areas. I have my cold compresses that I use for the break through itching. When I get home from work the evenings are the worst. I would take a bath in cool water but I don't need to do that anymore. I also put the steroid cream on before bed and take two benadryl. I am also crocheting a baby blanket to keep my hands busy when the itching really gets bad so I don't touch it. I was also taking dandelion root  2 pills three times a day (your discretion, might want to ask your doc first) but I stopped taking that once I could handle the itching. I have been dealing with this for three weeks and last night I was actually able to sleep without taking benadryl and only woke up to pee, not itch.  I hope for your sake your rash also gets better because it is miserable. If I think of any thing else I will let you know. But keep your hands busy!!!! The less you itch the better it gets! (atleast that is how it worked for me!) GL!

My itching started 10 days after giving birth to my son. my obgyn said it was not Pupp because “Pupp only occurs during prgnancy.” So I went to my family doctor and he said he had treated 3 cases of Pupp after delivery and he was sure what I had was Pupp. He prescribed prednisone for 7 days and the itch went away after day two. However 3 days after i finioshed the dosage, the itch came back. Its been two weeks since then and I am still itching. Hot compresses before bed seem to give me enough relief for me to fall asleep.
